More Bet Type Tips

What is an event?

An event is a sports match, game or tournament on which a bet can be placed for a specific outcome.

What is a bet?

A bet consists of selecting the outcome of one or more events along with a wager. Correctly predict the outcome of all events and your bet wins.

What are odds?

The odds value is how much you can win based on how much you invested on a specific outcome.

What is a ticket?

A ticket is a voucher or receipt you receive from a Let’s Bet Sports agent which lists and details your selections on event code, sport, clubs/teams, predicted outcome and Odds for that outcome for up to 10 events. The ticket also shows the calculated potential prize win amount of the bet. Each ticket represents a bet. All winning tickets must be presented to an agent to claim prizes.

Events FAQ

Can I select only one event to make my bet?

Yes. In general, most events/outcomes can be selected as a single event. Let’s Bet Sports reserves the right to assign Minimum 2 or Minimum 3 to certain events.

What does Minimum 2 mean?

If there is a “2” next to an event on the match list, you must include at least one additional event for your bet.

What does Minimum 3 mean?

If there is a “3” next to an event on the match list, you must include at least two additional events for your bet.

If I choose more than one event for a bet, will I have to pay more?

No, the number of events you choose is not related to the cost of the bet. The Bet amount you select on the betslip is the cost of the bet.

Do all the events I select for a bet have to take place on the same day?

No. When marking your selections on the betslip you can choose events that take place on the same day or events that take place on different days.

Is there a limit on the number of event selections I can make for one bet?

Yes. The maximum selections per bet is ten (10), which is also the maximum allowable number of events you can include on a betslip.

Is my bet valid if a football event is extended beyond normal play by a few additional minutes (stoppage time) and the result changes?

Yes, the result is based on the 90 minutes of play plus the additional stoppage time granted by the referee due to substitutions, goals, injuries, etc (Regulation Play). Goals that occur in extra time or in penalty shoot-out will not be considered.

If I have several events in a bet and one of them is canceled, is my bet still valid?

Yes. When an event selected by a player is canceled or otherwise deemed incomplete, all outcomes for that event will be assigned an Odds value of 1.00 and considered to be a correct result.

What happens if an event is suspended?

If an event is canceled or postponed for more than 48 hours in relation to the day established in the event list (in local time), then that event is deemed incomplete and the outcome predicted by the player will be accepted, but the Odds assigned will be one (1.00).

Should the suspended event resume play and be completed before the end of the next calendar day, the original chosen Odds are maintained.

What happens when an event starts before the stipulated time for closing sales?

Bets placed before the actual start time will be valid while bets placed after the actual start time will be void and Odds of one (1.00) will be assigned to all outcomes of that event.

Are event start times shown on printed match lists or digital monitors at agent locations and on the Let’s Bet website based on local time?

Yes. The start dates and times of all events are in Guyana local time.

Mix Bet

How to play Mix Bet?

The Mix Bet feature allows you to make up to 10 selections on one event. The total odds for the ticket is calculated based on the selections made. Each time a selection is added or removed, the total odds are re-calculated. Not all markets are available with this feature, and the markets available can differ from one event to the next. Which markets are available for a particular event are shown when Mix Bet is activated on the event selection panel.

Mix Bet is currently available for Soccer events, including live events, and for Basketball events before they start.

Selections can be made and combined from any of the available markets, e.g. HDV, Double Chance, 1st Goal Scorer, Total Goals, Over/Under, etc.

However, some combinations are contradictory and will be rejected: for example, you cannot select the home team to win and Visitor/Draw Double Chance.

  2. Select an event.

  3. Click on the Mix Bet button below the team names.

  4. Combine up to 10 selections

Prizes FAQ

What is the maximum prize amount I can win?

The maximum prize win amount is GYD 4,000,000 per winning ticket.

How is the prize win amount of my bet calculated?

Each event has several possible outcomes to choose from and each outcome has its own Odds. The potential prize win amount is calculated by multiplying the Odds of all selected outcomes and then by the bet amount (in Guyanese Dollars).

Example: Using a betslip, a player chooses the following events and outcomes for his bet:

Match Code Predicted Outcome Odds
Liverpool vs Chelsea 3121 D (Draw) 3.40
Juventus vs Roma 3125 A (Away) 2.80
Barcelona vs Real Madrid 3126 H (Home) 2.10
Arsenal vs Wigan 3128 + (Over) 4.10

The Player Bets GYD 200.

In this example, the prize amount is calculated as:
3.40 x 2.80 x 2.10 x 4.10 x GYD 200 = GYD 16,400.

All predicted outcomes must be correct for the bet to be a winner.

Do I win a prize if I correctly predict the outcome of only some of the events on my ticket?

No, a prize is awarded only when the outcomes of all events on the ticket are correctly predicted.

Are my winnings determined by the number of winners who placed the same bet?

No. Your winnings will not be affected by the number of winners that might exist.

Where can I redeem a winning ticket?

Prizes of up to GYD 25,000 can be redeemed at any Let’s Bet Sports point of sale. Prizes from GYD 25,000 to GYD 100,000 can be redeemed at Guyana Lottery Regional Offices. Prizes greater than GYD 100,000 must be redeemed at the Guyana Lottery Company main office in Georgetown.
